Give my husband a hand!!!

I had the most awesome anniversary yesterday.  We decided to wait until we got home from work to exchange presents.  He walks in and hands me a beautiful card.  Then he says he's gotten me four presents - one for each year we've been married.  The first, he says, is in honor of the first year we were married, when we had no house, no kid, no bills, and could spend crazy money.  He then pulls out a lovely white gold ring with sapphires and diamonds.

He says the second year of marriage is when he was laid off from work, times were tough, and he just laid around the house.  In honor of that year, he gave me a hammock stand (I got the hammock for mother's day).

He asked me what was special about the third year.  I say, that's when I was pregnant and we had the baby.  Right, he says, and he gives me a beautiful Lloyd Middleton doll that looks exactly like Izzy.  These dolls are completely made in Ohio, and they look soooo real. It's gorgeous.

This last year, he says, was all about becoming parents.  In honor of our fourth year, he gives me a Willow Tree collectible that is a dark-haired mother holding a light-haired toddler in her arms.  I love it!  It actually made me cry.  Isn't that so completely awesome?  I was, and am, incredibly touched.  I can't believe he put such thought into his gifts.  He can be such a good hubby sometimes!!!

In fact, he even got up with the baby last night - twice!  Speaking of which, we are going to die of exhaustion.  The baby went down right after we got home from dinner - a little after 9 - with no problem at all.  No fussing or anything.  We were so excited that we stayed up until about 12:30.  So we're sleeping so peacefully when a shriek suddenly rips our dreams apart at about 2:15.  I'm halfway across the room by the time I wake up, and Chris is too, and I say, "What the hell was that?!"  As I'm saying it though I realize it's Izzy so I run to his room, and he's sitting in his crib all disoriented.  Hadn't even stood up yet.  So I give him his paci and tuck him in again, and he goes right back to sleep.  So do we.

Until 2:45.  I go back and this time he's standing.  I try and try to get him to lay down, but to no avail.  I leave and hide out in my bathroom for about 10 minutes, with the door shut to block the sound, but he doesn't let up, so back I go.  Same routine over and over: I lay him down, give him his paci, stroke his cheek, and rest my hand on his tummy until he settles back down.  He does and I go back to the bedroom, and when I get there, he erupts into sobs again.  I wake Chris up, and he goes and does the same routine, and comes back to bed and tells me to just go to sleep.  Uh huh.  So I go back AGAIN and I stand there and stand there until he goes back to sleep.  He wakes up AGAIN when I hit the bed, but as I lay there he quiets back down and goes to sleep.  Out of exhaustion, I think, because by this time it's 3:45.  I'm WIDE awake and have trouble dozing back off. Right as I do, though, at 4:23, he starts screaming again. It even wakes Chris up.  I tell him to just bring him back to bed with us because I think he has a tummy ache.  I really think he did, but mostly I just wanted some sleep.

Izzy was soooo grumpy this morning.  I think we're all ready to embrace the family bed now.  Heck, I love any excuse to waste money, and if he starts sleeping with us it just means a new King-size bed.  Woo-hoo!

You didn't tell me how he presented all of the presents! How incredibly sweet and romantic! And why don't I see listed on here what you got Chris?
