Bizzy Izzy.

Life with a fourteen and a half months old baby is non-stop, full-tilt, careening off the walls action! The only way to get him to cuddle now is to give him a paci for a few minutes, and that's not a good habit to get into this late in the game.

Last night I had to work late and didn't get home until 8:50. As I walked up the steamed up glass pane door (it was so humid last night) I realized that even though Izzy and his daddy were playing in the floor, and the dogs were right beside of them, none of them had heard me. I gingerly took the handle and pulled it down to open the door. I threw it open and I yelled,"BOOOOO!!!" The dogs went a little nuts but Izzy just laughed. He's so funny.

I sat down on the couch right in front of where he was methodically pulling out his toys, one by one, and spreading them around the living room for the girls to chew up. "Come give momma a kiss," I said to Izzy. "Give momma a lil' lovin'." That horse's-butt ignored me! His own mom, who he'd not seen all day long!

He ran over to kiss Gammie, then back to his toy box. I sat down in the floor beside him, to pick on him since he wouldn't love on me. I had to get some attention some how. We played, and he would grab every toy I looked at. Don't ever try to build blocks with Izzy. It's a complete disaster. He tired of me, again, so he took off down the hall to where Chris was on the phone with his mother.

I chased him down the hall, and he was cracking up. He loves to be chased! I didn't catch him until he was at the bed, then I grabbed him around the waist and swung him up and gave his belly a big raspberry. Then he was wriggling to get down, where he raced back up the hall and back to the couch.

It's like this every evening now. Of course, it's good exercise for me, and truthfully, I love every minute! It's the perfect excuse for me to run around the house screaming my head off. Babies are so much fun, and such great scapegoats for acting ignorant!
