I love Izzy's bedtime. Like I've told you, we still give Izzy a bottle at night. That way we know he's getting plenty of milk every day, and we always brush his teeth afterwards, so I don't see the harm.

Any of you other mommies still give bottles?

Anyhow, daddy got Izzy ready for bed tonight while I got his bottle ready - five ounces. I took the bottle in the nursery, where Chris was wrangling Izzy into his new pajamas - 2T!! :-( And they're snug!! "Excuse me," I said. "I need to sit there." Chris reluctantly relinquished his seat in the cushy rocking recliner - a godsend, that recliner - and I curled up with my Izzyman, all decked out in his "Dino-Mania!" pj's. He always stares us intently in the eyes at first, but his gaze goes off into the distance as the sandman approaches. Right as he finished guzzling down that milk, I remembered that I had forgotten his medicine this morning, and tonight. Chris brought the medicine and we got most of it in him. Izzy really hates that stuff. Then he refilled the bottle, and I switched Izzy to my other arm, where he snuggled in with his side against me. Chris put the numbing drops in, which didn't go too bad, I guess. As soon as we put them in his ear, he closes his eyes - it really looks like instant relief. Poor baby.

He just looked so peaceful, one hand on his bottle, head curled up on my arm, legs stretched across my lap. It's a beautiful moment, and one that Chris and I get to relive nightly. We are so blessed. I won't go into all the details again, but please pray again for Ben and for Allie. It's looking like their mommies and daddies won't have many more blessed moments unless these children each receive a miracle.

On a much lighter note, is it cool to roll a cuff on blue jeans? Or really, all we care about is if it's true dorkdom to do so. I got Chris a pair of jeans for his birthday and he just now tried them on, and they are too long. And I have no memory, so I can't recall where they came from. What do you think? Cuffs or no?
