Yawwwwnnnnn.

I am so incredibly sleepy today that I can barely type. Wasn't Izzy's fault, though. He's been sleeping pretty good lately. No, it's because I'm a glutton. I just went to First Watch and had their grilled turkey on sourdough sandwich. It just occurred to me that it's probably the turkey making me so sleepy, and not the bread. So bear with me....

I've been so busy here at work that I haven't had any time to update everyone on Izzy's latest accomplishment! He said blueberry! Ok, it was really, "boo erry," but I'm still proud. I always put him in a highchair in the bedroom while I get ready. This Monday, he was munching on blueberries with a side sippy of milk while I was putting makeup on my face, and the comforter on the bed.

He was throwing the blueberries into his mouth with wild abandon, when he suddenly missed. The blueberry fell into the seat beside him, and he looked at with great disdain. Then he looked back at me and said, "Boo Erry!" Stupid blueberry, falling out of Izzy's mouth.

This morning we got to mom's and before I had the chance to say, "MaMa's - we're going to MaMa's!" He hollered out "MaMa!" It sounded way different than mama, which he plaintively called out to me yesterday when he was trying to find me. I was carrying in groceries, so I closed the door to the downstairs sunroom, and I ran out to the van while Izzy was crawling from the kitchen. I ran, grabbed a couple of bags and hightailed it back to the house. I opened the door and I hear the saddest little voice calling from the hallway, "maaaamaaaa, maaaamaaa!" Poor little guy. He must have thought I'd left him for good. He saw me and speed-crawled right into my arms. I love that. He gives the best hugs ever!

I'm off to take a little snooze at my keyboard nowwwwwwwzzzzzz
