A load of bricks upside my head.

So that's what it felt like last Monday when my bosses called me down the hall to tell me that they were going to lay me off. I said, "Okay, when?" They said December 3rd. I said, "Wow - right before the holidays. That was really nice of you all." *sigh* This takes care of the whole wanting to stay at home/wanting to work problem, but still. The reason it was tough for me to make that decision in the first place was because I used to really love this job. I still love what this job stands for, but I will never work in labor or politics again. Bleh.

That's why I haven't updated in so long. I'm a little down about the election still, then I get a big hit to the gut and there goes my job, and to top it all off, Izzy isn't sleeping again. Kid is killing us. He climbed out of his crib and bonked his jaw, so I figured he'd end up breaking his neck, so we put took his crib sides off, and converted it into a toddler bed. Which he hates. So freaking tired....

I am truly looking forward to my upcoming break. No more horrible commutes. No more icy car drives because I was running too late to warm up the van. No more of my co-workers. Lots more of Izzy. Lots more of time. Lots more of rest. Lots less of respect. Wish me luck.

Wow they are sure gonna miss your brains and talents when you are gone! Although I bet Izzy is gonna love have his hide and seek partner at his disposal anytime.
Sorry to hear the bad news again Cindy. That really sucks there is no other way to say it. You are awesome, never forget that.
