Looks like I finally turned the puking corner. Until yesterday morning, I had a six day streak with no puking at all. Woo-hoo!! At five months with Izzy, I went to getting sick about once a week. 23 weeks with this baby girl. But I'm still not feeling like myself because now I have a stinkin' cold. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. I think I got it when I took Izzy to the doc last week for his 18 month check-up. He's 19 months old though. We got a little behind due to scheduling his appointments when Chris could be there too.
So Izzy-man is 36 1/2 inches tall!! GULP! He's growing up so fast. He's 28 pounds and 12 ounces. That's 85% on his weight, and way off the charts on his height. His head was 19 1/4, which was, I believe 70-75%, but the important thing is it's staying in the same percentile range each time. If it suddenly had a huge growth spurt, it could indicate autism. On his development, he's up close to a two-year old, which surprised me. Mainly because he won't use his words all the time. But I'm starting to think that he uses them more often than we know, because his daddy and both of my sisters were in speech therapy when they were kids, so he might have a speech impediment too. We'll see. Just one more thing for me to worry about.
That's the thing about motherhood that you can never be prepared for. Constant worry. I love this kid so much that it takes my breath away. The thought of anything happening to him makes me feel faint. He just walked over and hugged my arm. Now he's digging through the snack drawer looking for goodies. He's such a character.
I'm going to post a picture after I post this update, so you can see one of his many hilarious expressions. The picture I'm going to post is him walking down the sidewalk. I hollered to him, "Izzy get back on the porch!" You can see what he thought of my request. The kid has a million expressions, and they all crack us up. When he doesn't get his way now, he'll scrunch his face up and say, "Hey!" Can't help but love this kid!!
