So Friday my little boy turns two. It's amazing that it's already been two years. The time has flown by, and yet it seems like he's always been a part of our family.
My sisters and I went running around today, and mine and Micki's husbands joined us when they got off work. Crystal was riding with me, as was Izzy and Sophie, of course, until Daddy joined us and Izzy rode with him. Crystal looked at me and said, "Wow, it's really quiet in here without Izzy - sounds nice." I sighed a contented sigh, and said, "Sure does!" Then I thought for a second and added, "But if something happened to Izzy and he wasn't around anymore it would be the most terrible sound in the world."
I guess that's really something that goes without saying, but I said it anyways, and Crystal, of course, agreed. He completely drives me nuts sometimes, but daggone he sure can be sweet.
For instance, over dinner he reached for my hand and held it, then he kissed it, and then kissed a couple of my fingertips. Is there anything sweeter than baby kisses? Excuse me, I mean big boy kisses! He's so big for a two-year old that he really looks like a big boy now, rather than a toddler. And that personality takes up waayyyy more room than a two-year-olds' ought.
Izzy is my hilarious little charmer. He's also resembles demon spawn at times, but he's my sweetie nonetheless.
It's been the best two years of my life.
