My Sophie-bird.

Last Friday, Sophie had her two-month well baby checkup, and she's doing great. She's grown to 22 3/4" long (just 1/4" longer than Izzy was at birth) and she's up to 10 lb, 11 oz (about 2 lb, 5 oz pounds heavier than Izzy at birth). She started at 19" and 6 lb, 11 oz, so that's quite a good increase for her. He said she looked great. I agree. :-)

Every time Chris and I look at her, we are overwhelmed by her beauty. The long dark eyelashes, her big almond-shaped eyes, her perfect cupid's bow mouth...she's breathtaking. Well, at least to us she is. But like my dad says every time we tell him that we think Izzy is something special, we only think that because he's ours. So maybe the same applies in this case. But who cares?? We think she's gorgeous.


Speaking of gorgeous, we took Sophie to see my Grandma for the first time, and when we were leaving, we drove past the church my parent were married in. It's fallen into disrepair now, but you can tell it was once beautiful. It's currently being used a river rafters headquarters.

Well, I'm EXHAUSTED so I'm headed to bed - oh, and the movies today went great. Izzy was enthralled by it all, and I didn't get poop on me anywhere.
