LIFE IS TOO FREAKING BUSY! I miss work, where I had a break every day. At the very least, I got to sit down for longer than it takes to wolf down a cheese sandwich with one hand while feeding at least one kid with the other.
We spent the last couple of weeks getting our house ready for an open house last Saturday. Our house looks AWESOME. The best it can look without us sinking many thousands of dollars into it. We dropped the price 5K but the realtor forgot to get it into the paper. Still had six people look at it. Everyone loved our decor and loved the neighborhood, but still didn't want our house. Bastards. So we're going to have another open house in two weeks, and this one will be publicized with the lower price and new copy saying, "motivated seller." Cross your fingers for us.
Sophie is now sitting up and she has her first tooth. May have already blogged about it, but I'm so stinkin' tired I can't remember. Where is my little baby going?? Put her in the seat of the buggy at the store tonight, and she loved it. Sat straight up like a big girl and charmed every person who glanced at her. She is such a doll baby.
Unlike my demon spawn, who has been a holy terror the last few days. He's not been feeling well, but still...the aggression is getting out of hand. Hitting, punching, biting. He's driving everyone nuts. But he's so sweet in between. Tonight Chris put him to bed and he asked him, "Mama night, please?" So I went in to tuck him in. I walked up to the bed and I said, "Night baby." Izzy said, "Night, mama." I leaned down and brushed the hair off his forehead and kissed him as I told him I loved him and he said, "I love you." Then he smiled and I left the room. No screaming or theatrics or getting out of bed. SO nice. Especially the way he says it: sounds like, "I luuuuuuuuuve ewwwwwe." Precious, precious. And he didn't even bite me.
