Izzy nice.

We are currently trying to be very thrifty, so our cupboards are bare. On top of being thrifty, we're having fun seeing how low our supply can go before we have to go to the store. That's the setup for dinner tonight.

Chris and I were eating leftover Cabinet Soup (everything we could find in the cabinet went in)and it was a little too spicy for Izzy's palate, so I offered him some tuna. He was very excited and I handed him a little bowl of tuna to carry to the table. I spilled it all over the floor though, so I gave him another little bowl of tuna which made it to the table. He ate a couple of bites and started playing. He had helped me make a jello/cottage cheese salad thingy for dinner, so I could understand he might not be hungry, so we were just letting him play while we talked.

I glanced over to the living room and the dogs were licking his bowl of tuna clean. Chris and I looked at each other and he asked Izzy, "Why did you give the dogs your tuna?" Izzy looked at his dad like Chris was an idiot and said, "To eat." I hid my face behind Sophie to keep Izzy from seeing me laugh, and Chris managed to fight down his smile and he asked him, "But why did you give them your tuna? Now you have no dinner." Izzy turned his head to the side and said, "Cause I nice." The battle between Chris's lips and that laugh started to turn and he said, "That was nice, but what are you going to eat now?" Izzy very earnestly told him: "I share - dog eat!"

We lost it then. This kid keeps us on our toes!!
