Nothing outstanding happened, but the kids were pretty good, I feel pretty good, and I got a ton of housework done. It's always made me feel good to have a clean house, but now that I'm in it so much more, it's especially gratifying to catch up.
Tonight mom and dad kept Sophie for us and Chris and I took Izzy out on a date. We had a blast, but I think Izzy mainly missed having Baby, as he usually calls her, with us. We took him to Wendy's for a kid's meal then we walked over to the library for their preschool story hour. Izzy loved it! He ran over a few times and told us that he was too shy, but he really wasn't. He was right up there in the very front the whole time. He even held hands with a gorgeous older woman of four or five during a couple of the stories. Who had dark hair, I might add. :-)
I'll be taking him back Wednesday morning for a flannelboard workshop. The library supplies all of the materials and we get to take home a story board & characters. He may be too young for it, but I think he'll have a good time. As is par for the course now, the library staff was amazed at how big he is. He was 43" on their growth chart. Last time he got on the scales at my mom's house, he weighed 52 pounds. Such a brute, this boy of mine. But he seems to have a gentle spirit wrapped up in that hyper body, so I have hope for him yet. I'm also hoping we can retire on those NBA earnings!!
Here's hoping we all have another good day tomorrow!
