We're having a pretty lazy day here today, not going swimming or anything. I went to the gym at 9:00 today and haven't been out since. It's just too hot to think. I'm getting caught up on a bunch of housework, though, which is good.
I walked in to my bedroom and there lay Izzy like a lump while he watched cartoons. I sat down beside him and he looked at my face and asked, "What wrong, mommy?"
"I think you're lazy," I told him. He cracked up laughing and said, "No, I daddy." I had to give him that. Izzy is his dad made over. Both of them would be perfectly content to lay in bed all day sleeping and watching cartoons, just breaking occasionally to pee or holler for me to bring them something to eat.
I've got a cute one on Maddie too, that I have to share. We were all swimming the other day and when Izzy got back in the pool, air got trapped in his trunks and made a big bubble. When Micki pushed the bubbles out and they all came popping out on the surface of the water, I asked Izzy if he had tooted. I know, I should seriously cut out the scatalogical joking with him. I'm so immature.
Anyhow, he hollered at me that he had NOT tooted in the water and Maddie, who is an insanely grown-up nearly-nine years old and who swims like a fish like the rest of us, said, "I'll go under to see if it stinks." Before we could stop her, she bobbed under the water, then came right back up, rubbing her nose and looking quite discomfited. Her mom, Micki, and I seriously laughed our butts off. At first we thought she was joking for Izzy's sake but we laughed even harder when we realized that our grown-up and brilliant Maddie had actually tried to smell a fart underwater!!! Poor kid. That's one that will keep us laughing for a long time!

I have a lazy boy here, too. Would like nothing better than to lay on his favorite chair and watch tv ALL day. I practically have to force him out the door.
