Our anniversary was wonderful. We spent the day here with the kids just playing, then we took them to my mom and dad's house about 4:00 p.m. Then we went to Penn Station Subs (seriously delicious) and to see Superman where we took advantage of six years married, 10 years together. That's right, we split a jumbo bucket of popcorn. What the heck were you thinking?
Then, best of all....I slept the WHOLE NIGHT THROUGH until 9:30!!!! I haven't had a good night's rest in years. Yep, years. Izzy woke up once for mom, but he went back to sleep easily and Sophie slept all night. *fingers crossed* I hope they'll keep them again for us sometime. I surely did miss the little boogers though. This house feels awfully empty without their little feet pattering around.
Today, Chris left me and Izzy doing crafts he got for his birthday (thanks, Aunt Denise!!) while he and Sophie picked up all their things from mom's house. But Baby Snoopy got left behind. Mom called and told me right after Chris left, but sometimes Izzy doesn't miss him anymore, so I told her if he did we'd come back and get him. But Micki called and said her husband was going to be dropping their daughter off at him mom's on the next street over, so he'd hand-deliver Baby Snoopy.
When he got here, he waved as he walked up to the door, with Baby Snoopy waving in his outstretched hand. "Look who's here!" I hollered to Izzy. Johnny darted behind the door and held Baby Snoopy in front of the door so that's all Izzy could see.
Izzy looked at the door, saw his toy, and very delightedly clasped his hands in front of his chest and exclaimed, "Oh, Baby Snoopy!" It was so cute. He ran to the door and Johnny handed him the toy, waved at us as we yelled thank you through the door, and he went back to his car.
Izzy hugged Baby Snoopy tightly, smiling from ear to ear, then he ran to the door and threw it open, leaning out around it while he hollered to his uncle, "Hey Johnny! Thank you for bringing Baby Snoopy home to me!"
Chris said to me, "Polite young man you've raised there!" We just beamed. He's a wild man, but there's a very sweet little boy wrapped up in all that energy.

The kids did great and we'll keep them again. That is if you can stand to leave them long enough!
