Star light, Star bright.

Last year, my niece Maddie bought a book for Izzy with her own money - "Little Star," a book about Dora. Chris was reading it to Izzy a couple of nights ago when the weather was bad, and Izzy wanted to go see the stars. Chris told him to wait till the sky was clear.

The next night, Izzy handed him the book to read and as soon as Chris finished, Izzy wanted to go out and look at the stars. That kid doesn't forget anything.

As they're standing under the night sky all lit up with stars, Chris asked Izzy if he wanted to wish on a star.

Izzy tilted his head upwards, chose the perfect star upon which to wish, and said, "I wish I could see Mama and Papa Ray."

When Chris told me, my eyes welled with a tiny tear or two, for those are my parents. I also laughed, because he sees them nearly every day! Oh, to have my fondest wish be to see once again those whom I see all the time.

Actually, now that I think of it, it is. Well, that and a cool million.
