Happy (LATE) Birthday, Iz-man!

Poor little big guy. Your birthday has come and gone (June 10th) and I'm just now getting around to your birthday blog. Your third year was really a blur. We were all wrapped up in getting the old house sold and the new house bought. Or maybe it was a blur because you grew so fast!

You are an amazingly tall four year old. You are also extraordinarily sweet and kind, and I certainly couldn't leave out hilarious! You are sparkle personified. Anytime I leave the house, I take you with me so that I know I'll have a better time. You rock.

In fact, today was the first time you told us, completely unprompted, what you want to be when you grow up. You walked into the dining room where I was unpacking, and you said, "Mom, you know what I want to be when I grow up? A rock star dad." I think that's AWESOME. But with mine and your dad's combined musical talent, you have a very hard road ahead of you.

Whatever you decide to do, I know you'll do great. You are a very special kid. Yes, that is coming from your mother, but so what? I know I'm right.

You love Spiderman, Batman, and the Littlest Pet Shop toys equally. Except for maybe you love the Littlest birdies the best. You asked me tonight if we could go buy another one tomorrow. Unfortunately, I probably will. You are so earnest when you ask for something and those baby blues are awfully hard to resist. You're very clever as well - on a recent trip through the toy aisle, you asked me to buy one of a million toys you wanted that day, and you said, "If you buy that for me, mom, you'll be the coolest mom." As if! I'm way to cool to fall for that one.

You're my buddy, my pal, my sweetheart. You are my number one guy, and I love you very, very much. Happy Fourth Birthday, Izzy!!!
