This did not amuse my mother-in-law.

Truthfully, I was very hesitant too, but then Chris talked me into in by saying that his mother wouldn't let him get a mohawk when he was a kid and he'd always wanted one. Now, he said, it's too late and he has a reverse mohawk, LOL!

So I caved, and even though it still startles me a little to look at him, I think it's awfully cute. And it'll be gone before school, so it's all cool.

You did the right thing. When Kev was in middle school he wanted to dye his hair green so we did. Grass green hair. He would style that into a mohawk, too, just to make it more interesting I guess. Sigh. It lasted for a couple months, faded out and he switched to purple for awhile. The next year he started growing all his hair out long and that was that for awhile.

Today he is going to be a junior in high school, has his natural blond hair buzz cut for the summer and might let it grow to about an inch long before he wants it cut again.

Let them get it out of their system when they are young and by the time they are supposed to be taken seriously, they'll be fine. or as close to fine as you can expect from goofy boys.

Besides, that child with the mohawk is adorable, isn't he? Well then.

Dylan would be very jealous! I have decided that next summer the brothers can get mowhawks if they like. I was a buster this year about it, but soooo many other Mom's have done it that I am going to cave. Peer Pressure is a Mutha! Izzy looks like 1 tough dude! He would make about 4 of Dylan!
