Let me first say that the washer and dryer are so very cool. BUT they don't live up to my dreams. *sigh* The salesman didn't lie to us either - he said that the wash and dry times run about the same, which I just took to mean about a half hour. And they do run about the same - about an hour a piece. It cuts down our dry time significantly, and they really are pretty freaking awesome. Chris and I both sat down in front of the washer for the first load. They are both front-loaders with windows, and that is fun to watch. Yes, we really are that boring. The controls are on the front of the machine which makes it pretty nice to have the top all clear, and it's quite lovely, too. Luckily, they lock out because Izzy thinks that playing with the knobs and buttons is awesome.
Have I ever told you that he is a big sweetie? Last night Chris took us to the Mexican restaurant and I went ahead and ate. Lost it, of course - twice - but it was good going down. When we got home I was letting dinner percolate in my tummy and I sat down in the floor beside Izzy to read him a book. He's developed a new fascination with flap books. I read him the book and then he went over and sat on a little stool he likes. He's playing, scooting the stool back and nearly falling off, which he finds hilarious, and Gammie, our black dog, came up beside me to get some luvins. I put my arm around her, and she leans her face against mine and I'm petting her skinny sides telling her she's a good dog. Izzy is watching us, then he runs up behind me, puts his arms around my back, leans his head against me, hugs tightly and says, "Ooomph." That's his hugging sound. I told him I love him too, and my heart just melted. That boy sure does have his momma wrapped around his little finger!
I hope this new little demon is sweet too. Speaking of which, after I took communion on Sunday, I wiped my brow in relief. Chris and I were fearful that, as he put it, "Your head would start spinning around and you'd spew pea soup." Seems that I'm not actually carrying a demon at all. Could have fooled me.

One - glad that you aren't carrying a demon. LOL
Two - We had to buy a new washer with the front loading windows. I wrote on someone's blog about it. Anyway, after having a refurbished washer for 6 years, it was wonderful. It is a high efficency and saves us on our electic & water bills & uses half the detergent. Love it! Even if I will be paying on it forever. :-(
LOL
