For the first time in about two months, Izzy finally slept through the night again - woo-hoo!!! It's been driving us both nuts. Let's hope he'll go for two in a row tonight.
We took Izzy's final bottle away last Friday. He got one Thursday night, (he's just been getting a bedtime bottle for quite a while now) then we were going camping Friday and Saturday so we decided not to take any bottles with us. He didn't even notice. Went to bed just like normal. How can growing up be so effortless on his part when it's so hard on mom and dad??
I may not have mentioned it yet, but this morning sickness is killing me. I finally bit the bullet and called in that expensive medicine - Zofran. My part is $65 for 12 pills. *sigh* That would make it a little over $200 without insurance. The doctor gave me samples of their main competitor, Kytril, and it worked pretty well so I called the pharmacy to get a price quote on it. For 12 pills, the price before insurance is nearly $650. That's right. SIX HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS FOR 12 LITTLE TINY PILLS. Isn't that nuts?? It's immoral too, because it's a medicine developed for chemo-nausea sufferers. Makes me even sicker just to think about it. If I haven't told you before: VOTE. Things have got to change.
So here's a big thank you to my mama. She has been taking such good care of my tummy through this morning sickness crap. Every morning for the last three weeks, she has given me a little plate with scrambled eggs and cheese to have for my mid-morning snack. Even better, she's been wrapping it in foil AND Saran Wrap, to keep the smell down. Eggs have started to bother me the last couple of days, so I told her not to make me any more. So this morning she hands me a little goodie bag with Nutri-grain bars and peanut butter sandwich crackers in it. Besides all that, she has dinner ready for me every single evening, so that I eat something before Chris gets home about 7 or 7:30. She's such a sweetie. Thanks, mom.
