Izzy Tales.

Well, Izzy is back to his old self, and all is happy here once again. I'm back to thinking Izzy is one of the cutest, sweetest, sharpest little kids around.

Today, he came up to me with his Sesame Street doctor's kit. First he took my blood pressure, used the otometer to check my ears, then he said, "Ahhh," and I opened my mouth and said the same, to be rewarded with an Elmo thermometer placed upon my tongue. I permitted this for the sake of cuteness, but God only knows where that thing has been. Plus, I don't know of him every having had a thermometer stuck in his mouth, so I was pretty impressed. Then he loaded all of implements back into his case and said, "All done!" What a cute kid.

Yesterday I was sitting on the couch nursing Sophie when I heard him drag the dining room chair across the floor. When my beseeching him to come to me didn't work, I got up, baby still attached to me and went to see what he was up to. He had dragged the chair into the kitchen, put in in front of the sink so he could turn on the water, then he'd filled the coffee pot water pitcher and was getting himself a drink. I was just glad he wasn't using the dog bowl again.

And for your last story of the night, we played in his room today - well, I was actually nursing Sophie while he played with Darth Tator. He put on his arms, the eyes, the mask, and the feet, looked at his creation, then curled it up tight against his chest and said, "Baby." Then he started playing with his Weebleville Town Center and he pulled out the little bed. He held it up to me and I thought he didn't realize what it was so I said, "Bed." He laid it on the floor, then he took Mr. Potato Head, oh sorry, I mean Darth Tator, he pulled off his mask AND his eyes, laid his big potato body on that little bed and covered him up with his cape. As if that wasn't cute enough, he then turned to me, put a finger to his lips and said, "Shhh! Baby!" and pointed to the now sleeping (that's why he had to have his eyes removed) Darth Tator.

He's either so cute or a total demon nowadays. Eeeek. I bet that's why Chris says he acts so much like me.

I sure miss seeing the Izzy stories first hand. When are you going back to work? Oh God, what am I saying?? Izzy and Noah together once in a while is more than enough. I must be total nuts to think about having both of them on a daily basis!!! LOL
