The Itchy and Scratchy Show

I have poison ivy on my ears, beside my left eye, on both breasts, all over my midriff and abdomen, down both arms, and covering both legs. And last night it came out on my woo-woo. I've only had poison ivy one other time, last summer, and it was just a small patch on my ankle. I AM MISERABLE. I can't figure out where all the new patches keep coming from. I blamed my bath pouf at first, but I threw it away, and still the patches keep showing up. *sigh, scratch, scratch, sigh*

Sophie turns four months old tomorrow!! I can't believe she's already this old. She's getting so big too. And sweeter by the minute. Time flies when you're having fun.

Izzy just came through and told me he had a boo-boo and held out his hand on which he's colored with a red ink pen. He's a hilarious kid.

Chris is having the realtor come over Monday to list our house. Even though he's now carpooling, our gas bill has only dropped a tiny portion because of the continued rise in gas prices. We just can't stomach, or afford, to keep wasting fossil fuel like this. So we'll be moving closer to Parkersburg. I think it will be fun, but I'll miss this place. Yesterday we had the house all spotless and we were sitting with the late afternoon sun streaming through the windows. Izzy was playing quietly and Sophie was laying kicking and cooing on a quilt on the floor. It was so peaceful and content. I looked at Chris and said, "I don't want to leave this place." He said, "Me neither." But I'm sure we'll find a better place, hopefully with a bigger yard, and we'll make us another happy home.

Speaking of happy homes, Crystal has two weeks before she'll be moving to her happy home in Baltimore! I'm getting more excited by the minute, which are flowing by quickly. We met with Izzy's speech people yesterday, and they said that although he is in the normal range (low end) they think the therapy will really help him. So the therapist will be coming twice a week (my choice) on Mondays and Fridays. We were setting up the times, and we did Mon and Fri of next week, and Mon for the week after. But when we scheduling Fri I realized that Sept. 2 is the day we'll be loading up Crystal's moving van. I'm a little envious. She'll be moving to an exciting new city with tons of things to do, and I'll be sitting here with two little kids, two insane dogs, and a cat who likes to pee on the carpet. But at least I'll get to visit her!!

Well, it's after noon now and none of us have showered, so I'm off to scratch some more. That's it for my sordid update.

Hey! I can't believe you are listing your house... Strangely enough, though, I will probably make reasons to see you more often when you're in another city.

I didn't realize you were selling your house either. It is hard to leave a place that holds so many memories.
