Like a bowl full of jelly!!

The other morning in the shower, I look down at my leg and Izzy has managed to get three dinosaur tub toys stuck to my leg without me noticing. I crack up, because that is so freaking hilarious!

I bend over and take the toys off my leg and stick them to the shower wall instead. I raise up then, and WUMP! I smack my head right into the shower knobs. I swear, I nearly fainted from the pain. It's a bumpy knob, made to get between your fingers for ease of turning. One of those knots had been driven into my skull full-force. IT HURT. BAD.

I curse a few times, then I just can't stop the tears from coming. PAIN PAIN PAIN. Now, I'm not a cryer. Didn't cry during labor even before I got the epidural, didn't cry when my incision reopened, didn't cry when they shoved a giant q-tip as deep in the incision as they could go, and then packed it full of tape. Didn't cry when they pulled the tape out either. Tough, I tell you.

But that knob really just about brained me. So I started crying. Izzy looked up and said, "You okay, mama?!" "No," I tell him through my tears, "Mommy hurt her head." Sob, sob. I'm really getting into it now, holding my head and crying hard.

Izzy then smiles and puts his hand on my stomach and says with delight, "Mama's belly shake!"

Ho, Ho, Ho.
