Not saying I don't still have a TON to do, but Chris usually helps me get it back in order on Sunday nights, as he did tonight. It's amazing what we can do to this place in a little over 24 hours.
I want to share a couple of cute stories that I don't think I've remembered to blog about yet. Well one cute one, and one terrifying one.
Cute:
Mom and I took the kids out shopping a couple of weeks ago, and we ended up at Sam's at lunchtime. Let me tell you - I love their little concession stand. Good, cheap food. But there are no high chairs. Just a few picnic tables to sit on, so we had Sophie in the buggy between our table and the next. We're all happily eating our pizza or hot dogs when the man next to us got some ice cream. Sophie, our sugar hound, leaned way over the edge of the buggy, just a few inches from that man, staring at his ice cream and begging for a bite every way she knew how. She's worse than Gammie and Deltie. And yes, I got her some ice cream of her own.
Scary:
The mail ran this week while I was changing Sophie’s diaper. Izzy hollered to me, “Mama, the mail’s here!” I hollered back that I would get it in just a minute. About a minute later, he proudly hands said mail to me saying, “Here’s the mail, mama! I do it all myself!” He unlocked the door, opened it, went out to the porch and got the mail, and reclosed the door without me hearing anything. Gave me three new gray hairs.
