It's going to be a very lucky year!!!

On St. Patrick's Day, we had a wee visitor. With magical footprints:
(Click on the pictures to enlarge them if you'd like to see more detail!)

And magical, ummm, droppings. Because the wee vistor apparently has a stunted sense of humor as well. I told the kids that if you eat magical leprechaun poop, you have good luck all year long. They were horrified when my mom and I popped one into our mouths. When Izzy finally got brave enough to try one, he said, "Hmm. This tastes like Christmas sprinkles. Like the kind you put on cupcakes."

Sophie found the whole thing rather shocking.

The lephrechaun not only left muddy green footprints from the window, across the table and counters, and up the fridge, (as well as footprints leading out the sunroom window), the wee mischief maker turned over chairs and enchanted the milk as well.

Apparently, magical milk is yucky.

After I got the kids off to school, I spent quite a bit longer cleaning up the footprints than I had originally anticipated. I had to actually use a putty knife to scrape them up, in fact. But it was worth every minute of labor for the kids to have such a magical, happy morning.

I wish I had thought to do something like this for you girls when you were little. I loved helping you and the kids reactions were priceless!
